Full Accreditation

Full Accreditation offered by the Saint Martin’s Centre for Research & Accreditation Commission (SMCRAC) is a comprehensive institutional recognition framework designed for eligible institutions and organizations that demonstrate established systems, effective governance, quality practices, institutional capacity and a commitment to continuous improvement.

The Full Accreditation process provides an overall evaluation of an institution or organization rather than focusing on a single programme or activity. It considers the institution’s governance, administration, academic or professional activities, human resources, infrastructure, resources, quality assurance mechanisms, institutional achievements and development practices.

Full Accreditation may be available to schools, colleges, universities, educational institutions, training centres, research institutions, professional organizations, NGOs, foundations, learning centres, social organizations and other eligible institutions and organizations. The applicable requirements and evaluation criteria may be adapted according to the nature, structure, size and scope of the applicant.

The evaluation may cover key areas including governance and leadership, academic or professional standards, faculty and staff, infrastructure and resources, quality assurance, research and innovation, student or stakeholder support, institutional development, community engagement and organizational achievements. Supporting documentation and institutional evidence may be reviewed as part of the assessment.

The accreditation process generally involves application, preliminary review, institutional documentation, self-assessment, evaluation, assessment and accreditation decision. Institutions that successfully meet the applicable requirements may be granted SMCRAC Full Accreditation together with appropriate accreditation documentation specifying the accredited entity, scope, status and applicable conditions.

Full Accreditation can help institutions demonstrate their commitment to quality, institutional excellence, accountability and continuous development. It provides an opportunity to identify institutional strengths, improve internal systems, strengthen quality practices and communicate a formal commitment to maintaining and enhancing institutional standards.

Accredited institutions are encouraged to maintain their quality systems and pursue continuous improvement throughout the accreditation period. The validity, renewal and reassessment requirements shall be determined according to the applicable SMCRAC accreditation framework. Full Accreditation represents recognition within the defined SMCRAC framework and should not be represented as government or statutory accreditation unless separately granted by the relevant competent authority.
